While organizing my sewing room yesterday I found my Peppermint Pinwheel quilt sitting on the shelf just waiting to have the binding done. Merumo shared this pattern with me back last January. I used Jo's Variety fabric. This quilt measures 35" x 35" and is a table topper for Christmas.
Not only did I make the table topper I also made a small little quilt to put in my wagon I display in my home with my Santa & Snowmen dolls and I even made a mug rug. I guess you could say I went Pinwheel crazy that month !

Vintage Rouge & a fall trip ......
HAPPY FALL EVERYONE !!!!
Been busy working on making some Christmas gifts I can't show and we were gone a few days last week !
We then drove down to south Lake Tahoe to spend the night. We checked into our hotel for our free room and to our surprise they said they upgraded us to a suite . We were totally shocked when we walked into the room WOW !! One of the perks going off season & on a week day ;-)
When I got home and finished my Vintage Rouge block # 5 it was time to clean & organize the sewing room / office before I start another project
And of course to a little gardening keeping up with the fall leaves . My 2 favorite things to do sewing & gardening !

Time to finish Vintage Rouge BOM......
Now that my Swoon is all done I can concentrate on my Vintage Rouge BOM ! This is a 6 month BOM that Doreen is hosting and I have the first 4 months done. I laid all of my blocks out on my design wall ( that is what will fit )
This is the block for month #5. It goes in the center of the quilt. I am hoping to finish this block today
The blocks that I made for month #4 need to look like this so I still need to do the stitchery.
Meet SMOKY ! She decided that she did not want me to do any more sewing and took over the ironing board.

SWOON Rouenneries French General is a finish !
I just finished my SWOON quilt made of all Rouenneries French General fabric. I used only jelly roll strips & a 5" charm pack to make all of these blocks that are 12.5 " . I decided to make all 9 blocks . The pattern does not have a border but I wanted a border on mine. Finished size is 56" x 56".
I want to thank THELMA for her help figuring the cutting measurements for this quilt ! I was inspired by her Baby Swoon quilt she made for her daughter

Swoon & new items in my Sewing room....
Hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day weekend !
Our neighbors invited us to join them at a cabin they rented on Donner Lake for the weekend. We had a great time & caught lots of trout !
Today I am relaxing and made another Swoon block.
I bought these at STAPLES last week and they are GREAT ! The document holder is perfect for holding my patterns with its little magnets to hold it in place and the letter organizer is just perfect for organizing my rulers and it hardly takes up any space
Plus it looks awful darn cute on my drafting table don't you think ?
So here I am with 5 Swoon blocks
I am auditioning my fabrics I have to see if I enough fabric to make 4 more blocks

Just listening to Pandora & sewing |
I chose this fabric for the center of this block because my favorite flowers are Hydrangeas |
