New Sewing Machine Cover

It was time for a new sewing machine  cover !
So not only did I make one for myself but made a second one for a friend
I chose MIMI by Chez Moi for Moda fabric

So that is would coordinate with the valance my friend gave me in the sewing studio.
Now my friend and I will have the same valance and sewing machine covers :-D

  HAPPY FALL EVERYONE !

Berries & Baskets Flimsy is a Finish

                                                   Berries & Baskets table runner

I  Just finished  sewing it together   and I am happy to say that this UFO is a finish !  I did not make mine exactly like the pattern.
The pattern had you add another border of scrappy little blocks and it was 42" long . Way too big for my dining room table. Mine measures  18" x 38 " long .  I used a older black Thimbleberries fabric that I had in my stash for the background fabric  and some of my Jo Morton stash for the stars . Now to figure how I want to quilt this ?   I usually send my quilts out to be quilted so it is going to have to be something simple that I can handle ;-)

Saturday morning we went for our walk & then drove over to the Farmers Market .
I did not buy any fruit but I did purchase this Chinese lantern plant !  I have never seen one of these before and thought it was so unique !
                                               Isn't it just GORGEOUS!

Berries and Baskets UFO

I started this  Berries and Baskets  table runner UFO  October  2012

I decided it is time to finish this quilt so that I can enjoy it this fall.  I had completed the applique on the baskets & stems  last year and then got busy with the holidays.

While watching TV I have been working on the berries

and happy to say that I finished all of them YEAHHH !

The runner measures 42" long but I think I am going to make mine shorter

So I pulled out some  fabric from my stash and hope to finish this this weekend

Wishing everyone a Wonderful weekend !!
