Tiled Bloom Quilt Aloha Girl fabric petals done :-D

Just finished picking all of my fabrics for my petal blocks and the petals  are all fused on

I used 1 layer cake of aloha girl fig tree fabric Moda and it worked out perfect !
I was able to make 3 petals from 1 10" square. The green fabric is KIWI from this line of fabric and I used the COCONUT fabric for the background.

My CORAL magnetic bowl from Pleasant.home on ETSY just coordinates so nicely with this fabric :-D

Now to just machine appliqué all 52 petals while I wait for the arrival of my grandson  :-D

HAPPY SEWING !

Starting a new quilt project " Tiled Blooms " Aloha Girl Fabric

I was in the mood for something simple and summery to make and this Tiled Blooms  Quilt has been on my to do list . I fell in love with Aloha girl by Fig tree Moda fabric and felt that this fabric would be perfect for the quilt to show off the beautiful fabrics in this line :-D

Tiled Blooms is a free pattern by Corey Yoder of Little Miss Shabby you can find it here on her blog.

You make 25 tiled blocks which I finished this weekend using Coconut for the background and Kiwi from the Aloha girl line of fabric

Now the fun part making all 52 petals to machine appliqué on 13 of these tile blocks :-D

We lost her to Diabetes last a few days ago . She was such a sweet girl .

This morning I also went out and cut some of my Hydrangeas in the garden .
These are just my favorite flowers and I enjoy drying them to enjoy for years to come :-D
