First of all I have always wanted to make hexies and # 2 I already had this bird fabric in my stash just waiting for the perfect quilt to make it with . Perfect !
I have all of my fabric cut and started sewing my hexies today.
I am paper piecing my hexies and having so much fun making them
I made a sample hexie before making mine .
I can see that this is going to be a start of more of these hexie quilts to come ;-)
I also wanted to share with you this Watermelon cake I saw on Pinterest
I made one last weekend for a birthday cake and it was delicious and so easy to make
