Vintage Rouge coming along .......

Not much sewing going on here lately.... I was able to sew my center section together for Vintage Rouge and I cut all the outside piece for the outside border of the quilt. Now I am working prepping ALL the applique pieces for the 4 large sections for the sides of the quilt. So far I have finished the 8 stems & 8 of the 24 leaves. I still have 4 Dresden to make and 56 berries .
We celebrated our 40th wedding Anniversary on Friday October 19th.  We left Thursday and had a beautiful Spa Suite.  When we walked into our room we were surprised with this gorgeous bouquet of flowers, a plate of Yummy Strawberry's dipped in chocolate and a bottle of champagne on ice.  Our dear friends had arranged all of this for us !   What a wonderful and thoughtful Surprise !!
This was one of the views from our room .  We had a lovely dinner  that evening while we were listening  to the piano player.  What a lovely Anniversary we had :-D
