It's Snowing !

Good Morning ! We woke up to lots of snow this morning ! It started snowing lightly last night and it has been snowing ever since snowing harder by the hour. SO I went out with my boots on and took these pictures. There is just a calm and quiet sound when it snows. I get excited because we do not get alot of snow here. We are only at 2400 level Enjoy the pictures !

Project for March... FLAG OF VALOR QUILT

Hi !

Hope everyone is having a great weekend ! Cloudy skies and rain here in the foothills of California so....... I started a new project for the month of March.

"FLAG OF VALOR "

I fell in love with this quilt the first time I saw it ! This quilt has been on my " TO DO LIST " for some time.

This is my progress so far... 9 Star blocks done and 9 to go !

I am using mostly fabric from my stash except for I did buy the red floral fabrics for the long strips in this quilt and the blue with white stars bunting fabric that runs along the top of the quilt.

This is going to be a fun rainy day project to work on this week :-D

SUMMER TIME CHURN DASH CHARLEVOIX QUILT

I call this my " SUMMER TIME " CHARLEVOIX CHURN DASH QUILT !

This pattern is Schnibbles GEORGE by Miss Rosie's Quilt co. I made this quilt with all Charlevoix by Polly Minick & Lauri Simpson for Moda fabric . I just love the yellows, blues and watermelon colors of this fabric. I only used 2 charm packs , 1/4 yard of background fabric . The pattern does not call for a border but I chose to sew on a light blue border to finish it. The finished size will be 42" x 42" . I made this to go on my kitchen nook table this summer.
