Willow Weave dancing in the Rain is a Finish

 Just finished my Willow Weave I made with Doreen's Sew along for the month of June !  Very easy and fun to do !

    I used a jelly Roll of Dancing in the Rain with a Kona bone background

   Now I need to decide if I want to add a border or just leave it like it is  ?

I can't wait to see what Doreen has  planned for August !

WIllow Weave Dancing in the Rain progress week #3

Not making much progress on my Willow Weave Quilt  week #3

It has been a very busy week for me and I have hardly had a chance to touch this quilt :-(

I am still playing with the layout of my blocks till I am happy with them

 This is almost 11 rows of the blocks so I am getting close  !

I can't wait to sew this quilt together :-D

My sewing Room

          Carol is having a Show your Sewing Room Day today and I thought I would join in !

This picture is looking into my sewing room as you enter the door......... As you can see I use the right side of the room for my office and the left side for my sewing

Here is a closer look at my sewing area.  These cabinets hold all of my sewing supplies & my precuts

This is how I have the top of this cabinet decorated. These  are all gifts that have been given to me except for the jars holding my spools of thread are from Ikea

  I keep my finished quilt tops in this basket that are ready to be quilted

          On the right side of the room is my office.  Yep !  There is my Willow Weave on the design wall.

in my closet I keep my project boxes , quilts in progress and my stash grouped by color. On the floor of my closet to the left is my Civil War Stash , the basket  in the center holds items I am selling on Ebay & the basket on the right holds my shipping supplies

This area has my cutting table , Wicket shelving to display my finished quilts and bookcase to hold quilting books & patterns

It is raining outside so I think I am going to try to work on my Willow Weave Quilt

Willow Weave & my roses ......

Hi  ! What do you have planned this weekend ?

The weather has been just gorgeous so I have been working in the yard when I can .
 We are expecting rain Sunday night thru Tuesday .
Thought you might enjoy seeing these pictures of my roses I have in the backyard .
We also have  2 vegetable gardens and picked our first tomatoes & chard  last week.

I have also started laying out my Willow Weave blocks on my design wall .  This is only 10 across and 5 of the 12 rows .  I am going to take my time and lay them all out and play with them till I am happy :-D

All caught up on my Willow Weave quilt sew along this week ...............

                            I have been just " Chaining  along the last couple of days " !

Working on my Willow Weave Quilt  that I am making with my Dancing in The Rain by Moda jelly roll  and I just got all caught up on my sewing for week #2 Of Doreen's Jelly Roll Sew along

                                              Here is all 120 of my blocks and ...........

                          my strips and extra 2 1/2" squares that I have not idea what Doreen has planned for these ?  but whatever it is I know it will be just Awesome !

Looking forward to seeing what Doreen has planned for all of us on Wednesday.

All I know is that I am glad I am all caught up now and ready :-D

Dancing in the Rain Willow Weave Quilt progress

 I thought I would show you my progress on my Willow Weave Quilt that I making with my Dancing in the Rain Jelly Roll.  I have everything all cut out and ready for Doreen's posting on Wednesday

                                   These are the set of 4 fabrics I picked out and............

                           here is my  10 2.5" x 4.5 " background rectangles & the 10  2.5" squares and..

                                         here is my 360 2.5 " background squares and my  40 2.5" squares

    
                            I can not wait to see what Doreen has planned for us Wednesday !

 All you need is 1 jelly roll , 1 3/4 yard of background fabric  & 1/2 yard of binding fabric of background fabric.

I am making a WILLOW WEAVE quilt from Aunt Reen's free Jelly Roll sew along

I am very excited to participate in Doreen's  Jelly Roll Sew Along that started today !
The name of her quilt for the month of June is " WILLOW WEAVE " . This pattern is  a beautiful "updated" basket weave design  based on an old traditional pattern.

I will be making my quilt using my jelly roll of Dancing in the Rain and I am using Kona bone for my background.

                                    Just look at all of these yummy fabrics.

Can not wait to start cutting my fabric this week !

Summer Breeze is a finish

 Just finished my Summer Breeze and I love it !   It was as Easy as 1 , 2 , 2 just like Doreen  ( Aunt Reen's Blog ) said it was.  You see I made this quilt  when I joined Doreen's   " EASY AS 1 , 2, 3 LAYER CAKE MYSTERY FREE PATTERN SEW ALONG for the month of May .  What a fun quilt to make :-D

  Now I am ready to start Doreen's next Sew Along  for the month of June ! A free pattern   Jelly Roll sew along making her  " Willow Weave Quilt "  that  is a updated basket Weave . You only need 1 jelly roll , 1 3/4 yds background fabric and  1/2 yard binding fabric .

 Before I go I wanted to show you my Mother's Day gift from my hubby . Hubby asked me what I would like so ..... I told him about this stool that folds flat that  I saw at Ikea .  It was out of stock online before Mother's Day but when I checked last week that had it available to order YEAHHH!   We live over 1 hour away from our Ikea so it was just perfect to have it shipped here .  I love it !  It will be great to use when I am cutting and preparing my applique
