Black Velvet Quilt is Quilted !

My Black Velvet Quilt arrived in the mail yesterday !

 Mary of Quilt Hollow did a Amazing job quilting this for me & always suggests the perfect quilting design !  This design is called WOVEN WIND


These pictures are the ones Mary sent me before she mailed it to me.  Really shows the details of the quilting . Just love how it came out :-D

  I made this quilt with Little Black Dress 2 fabric by Moda. I can not wait to bind this quilt & call it a finish !

I'm Back :-D

Hi Everyone !

Hope all of you had a wonderful Mother's Day !

No this is not where I was ;-)   I WISH !  This is a picture of Glass Beach  a friend posted on Facebook ! Isn't it Amazing !

We packed up the tent trailer and went beach camping at  Capitola , California for  a few days . Ate lots of seafood and walked the beach for sea shells and sea glass . Hubby & I even drove down to Carmel for the day .  We got home Friday night and then first thing Sunday morning we drove down to the kids for a lovely Mother's Day BBQ .

No sewing going on this week so far .

I did receive month  # 6 and # 7  of my Hampton Ridge BOM

Month # 5 is all cut out and ready for me to sew.

I really having some catching up to do

Grass Valley Quilt show

This weekend was my local Grass Valley quilt show !

Black Velvet is a finish !

 Well here it is !

The mailman delivered my border fabric yesterday and I headed straight to my sewing room to sew my borders on :-D

I added a 7" border and Black Velvet now measures  73" x  64"

You can see by this picture the ivory grunge fabric it really sets the quilt off nicely.  I am happy with my border choice , just what I wanted.

If you are new to my blog I made this quilt from LITTLE BLACK DRESS 2 fabric by Moda  !
 1 layer cake  of LITTLE BLACK DRESS 2 and ivory grunge  fabric  for the border & black grunge fabric for the black points from this line of fabric.  The pattern is RED VELVET by THIMBLE BLOSSOMS.
