Peppermint Place block #1 a finish

         Just finished my Block #1 for My Peppermint Place BOM.  I invisible machine appliqued all the appliques and the 2 pre - printed fabric signs on the pole &  Santa's list.  My block #2 kit should be arriving any day now ! I can not wait to see which block I make next.

Just can't make one ! Country Charmer Quilt Blocks !

  Having SO much fun making these Country Charmer quilt blocks !  I thought I would make one and I just can not stop ;-)    3 blocks done & starting on block  #4.  The fabrics ... what can I say !   I bought this quilt that is the exact fabrics that Lynn made her first quilt with and I just love the polka dots , stripes , checks and floral .

  This pattern is just wonderful !  Easy directions and this layout template  that Lynn has included in the pattern is just a wonderful way to keep track of all the pieces .

Well back to making more blocks they are SO addictive !

Country Charmer Quilt along project # 2 for 2013

Country Charmer Quilt along !   Ever since I saw this pattern that Lynn  Wilder  of Sew'n Wild Oaks designed last year  I fell in love with it !    SO much that when her kit became available last summer I bought it ! Just look at all of these yummy fabrics !  As a bonus Lynn is having a online Quilt along !  It is a very low key quilt along with no deadlines to finish.  Just perfect for me ;-)  She had wonderful tips &  tutorials that you can see hear Lynn

Peppermint Place BOM

I received this wonderful Peppermint Place BOM from my dear friend Doreen for my birthday / Christmas present. Isn't it just adorable !!!!! She knows how much I love my birds and enjoy watching them in my yard with my bird feeders & birdbaths . Just a perfect gift for me !

                                       This month I received my first pattern #1  to make " St. Nick's Nest ". The pattern also included a Peppermint place accessory fabric packet !  I will be using the Santa list , north pole  &  Santa's workshop for this block that measures 15" x 10"

                                    This is my progress so far .

My pattern #2 will arrive the end of this month

A DAY IN GIVERNY QUILT CHATEAU ROUGE A FINISH

              My first finish for 2013 !       My  " A DAY IN GIVERNY " flimsy is a finish ! Made of all Chateau Rouge fabric by French general . It measures  74" X 90 ".  As you can see it does not quite  fit my design wall and almost touches the floor

                   I already have another project that I want to get started on I will share more next week

Swoon Rouenneries

             Just finished the binding on my SWOON made of all Rouenneries by French General fabric

                    I hung it in my dining room to enjoy for a couple of months.

          Now back to finishing sewing my  " A DAY IN GIVERNY "   I hope to post it Friday :-D

Vintage Rouge back from the quilter....

 Vintage Rouge is a 6 month BOM that my dear friend  Doreen Aunt Reen's Place  had a sew along online and was a adventure for me to make.  This quilt had some paper piecing , invisible machine applique and stitching .  Mary at Quilt Hollow  did a WONDERFUL job quilting this for me as ALWAYS !  I chose a all over design  DENALI .

  I have ordered a red plaid for my binding and it should arrive in the mail any day.

                                       I have it laid out on my quest room bed for now

I have Done NO sewing this week on my A DAY IN GIVERNY :-(      Been busy putting Christmas decorations away , cleaning and yesterday I worked in the yard a little bit since we are expecting rain today. BUT this weekend I plan on SEWING  .  I will post my progress  next week.
