Finished machine appliquéing my " LET'S GO SEWING  " Quilt  and sewing on my border

 
I was so happy when I found I had all of the matching threads in my stash to appliqué this quilt :-D

This is where it will be hanging  in my sewing room when it gets back from the quilter

Been a busy week .

Going to try to help hubby make  potato salad and macaroni Salad for 100 people for a retirement party my daughter is giving this weekend and going to a baby shower on Saturday.

They are back from the quilters

My 2 baby quilts came back from Mary of Quilt Hollow and always she did a great job icing these 2 baby quilts for me . Just look how cute they are :-D

In the Ocean quilt made of Riley Blake fabric and I appliquéd the whales in the center

I found this cute whales fabric for the backing ...

Here is a close up of the quilting

This is SPLASH ........ As you can see I have the binding on this one ready for me to hand sew

Love this fabric with its cute whales , crabs, jelly fish .......

These are for my Grandson due July 8th.

I have 2 baby showers and 1 quilt  for each shower

And now there are 8 little hour baskets ..........

Yesterday I made 5 more of the hour baskets I was telling you about..

Boy are they addictive :-D

I had quite a assembly line going on here........

I made 1 cars basket for my grandson to keep his toys in ......

2 more purple baskets for gifts.........

2 yellow and gray chevron baby baskets to fill with little baby gifts to go with ........

Then....
I made 2 whale hour baskets for 2 baby showers I will being going to for my daughter . 1 for each shower

 Every time I make a basket  I think of another person I want to make one for ;-)

What I have been working on

Checking in and letting you know what I have been up to since my last post


I made this hour basket that I heard about on Instagram . It actually took me less then 1 hour to make and so easy to make.  I plan on making a few more of these baskets for baby shower gifts and put cute little baby items in them.

Also I finished fusing on all of my piece on my Let's go sew quilt .  Just need to machine blanket stitch it and add my border

Whales and a New Project

I bought this quilt kit  awhile back and it has been on my to do list . It is called  " LET'S GO SEW " by Pat Sloan. I have sewn the background together, and have cut out all of my appliqué pieces except for the green vines. I am hoping to get these appliqué pieces all ironed on so that I can machine appliqué it. When I first saw this quilt it was love at first sight.   I have plans of hanging this in my sewing room :-D

I want  to thank everyone for your suggestions on finishing the mouth and eyes for these whales on the baby quilt I made .
I was able to do a backstitch on the mouths  ( found a tutorial online ) and my dear friend came over to do the eyes for me

We celebrated hubby's birthday last week and I just had to share with you this cute card my girlfriend made for him. It is SO perfect for him.  Hubby is not happy if he is not playing with his firewood and he is always in charge of campfires when we go camping

Making baby Quilts

I finished  2 more baby quilts this last week .

Just a small one and the sailboats is going to be the backing fabric .

The fabric I used was SPLASH by Timeless Treasures.

 We are Big  San Francisco Giants fans  so I made this cute fleece baby blanket and just look at this cute Giants  Bib and shoes set I found to go with it .

Happy April 1st and a productive week

 Just love this time of year :-D

I have had a productive week finishing projects I started

I finished " In the Ocean " baby quilt that is for my grandson due July 8th.  I just need to figure out the best way to add the mouth and eye to the whales ?

I also finished all of mini  10 " design boards that I was working on.  Of course in French General fabric ;-)

We just purchased this  Black Windmill for the backyard . We have been looking for one for some time now.Love it :-D

Clematis just started blooming... oh how I wish you could smell these

The roses are full of blooms....

We even got the side yard all cleaned up and weeded
