Another finish .....
Just finished the binding on Nantucket last night!
Oh how I LOVE this quilt ! I am So happy I made it ! The fabric is Midwinter Reds by Moda. Just beautiful fabric to work with .
After I hung my quilt I decided I should keep with the Seaside Theme and brought out my treasures I have collected on my beach adventures
The small jar holds my Sea glass and small shells and the large jar holds my Sand Dollars from Pismo Beach
Mary of Quilt Hollow did a AMAZING job quilting this for me. We chose Paisley & Feathers design because of the paisley fabric I chose for the backing LOVE IT !!!
Here are a few pictures that Mary sent me before she mailed Nantucket back to me.
Have a Great weekend and Happy Sewing !
Sue

ReplyDeleteGosh, I love that quilt. You did a marvelous job and the quilting really does give it life. It's a great quilting design. Your shell collection looks perfect with it!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love that quilt. I've got the pattern and the fabric ... Unfortunately it's down my list behind a quilt for our bed, a quilt for DD and DSIL's bed, and a quilt for each of my grandsons' beds. I hand quilt so you can imagine that it will be a while before I get to Nantucket.
ReplyDeleteIts gorgeous...I have a boxful of Midwinter Reds & every time I see them used to make Nantucket I start drooling! It gets rather messy!
ReplyDeleteBeauty of a quilt and love the RED! Mary did do a wonderful job quilting it for you. You are both very talented!
