Sorry I have been MIA :-(
With this spring weather we have been having we have been busy tending to the gardens .
I do have good news to share with you ... I finished sewing the binding on my LUCY quilt last night !
Here is hubby hanging it from the front porch
Now to start a new project today... a baby quilt for my grandson who will be here July 8
The fabric I am using is " IN THE OCEAN by RILEY BLAKE .
My idea is to appliqué 2 whales in the white section in the middle of the quilt. I am going to make my 2 appliqué whales first to see how they look and see if I should maybe make the white center bigger then I will sew it together today. I have 8 white 5" squares so far when I decide on the size I want I plan on cutting 1 white piece of fabric and not use the squares .
I would like it to look like the whales are swimming across the middle of the quilt :-D
These are the Whale appliqués I am using and the fabrics I have chosen to use .
This cute whale fabric is what I am going to use for the backing .
This is going to be a fun quilt to make...
Happy Sewing !!!!
Sue
The colors and shape of the whales will make a good little boy quilt. I bet your family is excited to be getting a new baby to love on.
