Vintage Rouge coming along .......

Not much sewing going on here lately.... I was able to sew my center section together for Vintage Rouge and I cut all the outside piece for the outside border of the quilt. Now I am working prepping ALL the applique pieces for the 4 large sections for the sides of the quilt. So far I have finished the 8 stems & 8 of the 24 leaves. I still have 4 Dresden to make and 56 berries .
We celebrated our 40th wedding Anniversary on Friday October 19th.  We left Thursday and had a beautiful Spa Suite.  When we walked into our room we were surprised with this gorgeous bouquet of flowers, a plate of Yummy Strawberry's dipped in chocolate and a bottle of champagne on ice.  Our dear friends had arranged all of this for us !   What a wonderful and thoughtful Surprise !!
This was one of the views from our room .  We had a lovely dinner  that evening while we were listening  to the piano player.  What a lovely Anniversary we had :-D

A Day in Giverny Blocks # 3 done ...

Thought I would share my progress on my A Day in Giverny Blocks with you !
I had a productive weekend and finished my Blocks #3
I was also able to sew  the center of my Vintage Rouge together so that I can start putting my blocks on my design wall.  Each blocks is 12.5 "
                                           Next .........  Blocks #4
Quite a few of  you have asked about the Kit I bought at Rossville Quilts online . Yes I did buy the entire kit from them and did not join the BOM.  I bought my pattern on Ebay.  I am the kind of girl who likes  to work on a quilt start to finish and then move onto another quilt ;-)
I was up early this morning and watched the Sunrise .  Oh how I love a Sierra Sunrise !

Have a great Tuesday , Happy Sewing !

A Day In Giverny Chateau Rouge Block # 2 Done

I just finished my Blocks # 2 for my " A Day in Giverny quilt " made of the new line of French General fabric  Chateau Rouge.

I bought this quilt kit online  at Rossville Quilts  quilt shop

There are 6 individual block patterns and you make 2 of each each month.  I am trying to make 2 each week and so far so good.

This is Block #3 !  I am hoping to get this all cut out and start sewing these blocks this weekend
As you can see by the picture of the pattern the 12 blocks are set at point and then 6 alternate blocks are also pieced and appliqued.

Happy with my progress so far.  Do you think I love red  ;-)

I need to work on these 4 Vintage Rouge  blocks this weekend. I am a real beginner when it comes to stitchery

AND this is what I need to stitch this weekend.  Looks pretty easy

Next week I start my final  blocks for Vintage Rouge and then I will be done YEAHHH!

This last month is the 4 large sections on each side of the quilt .... lots of applique work  .
Have a great weekend !!!
