Hay Ride quilt flimsy is a finish......

No you are seeing things LOL ...

Yes it is pumpkins !    My Hay Ride quilt to be exact ;-)

What a easy and fun quilt to make with these wonderful fabrics !
My pictures do not do this fabric justice ! These pumpkins are outlined with gold accents !
You may have remembered this quilt kit in my last post.  I just could not let it sit on the shelf till fall 2014 .  Just what I needed after making Nantucket.  I would like to make another one using Christmas fabrics.  Wouldn't that be fun !

If you have a beginner quilter in your family this pattern is perfect for them .  So Easy  and a great way to use a large print fabric !  You can find the pattern at  Kelly Ann's Quilting Quilt Shop

Look what the mailman brought me........

I received 2  generous  birthday / Christmas gifts from Doreen (  Aunt Reen's Place )

WOW!

I received the Hampton Ridge BOM

This is month #1    Just look at those fabrics !

AND ......................  Aunt Reen's  2 hour  Hay Ride quilt top kit !  If you look closely at the pattern you will notice that this is Doreen's very own pattern and kit that she put together for Kelly Ann's Quilting  quilt shop she works at. Just look at those large pumpkins batik fabric and the fabrics for the border & binding !  Just Gorgeous !   Beginner Friendly Pattern  54" x 60 " .  Perfect for the " too cute to cut " and large print fabrics and in only 2 hours :-D

As soon as I finish sewing these last minute Christmas gifts I have here I plan on sewing this Hay Ride quilt top  together.  Then I want to make my first 4 blocks for Hampton Ridge .  It is going to be a fun year making Hampton Ridge :-D     Thanks Doreen !

hugs,
Sue

Nantucket Flimsy is a finish !  I am SO glad I made this quilt ! I LOVE IT !

Hubby was kind enough to assist me this morning holding my quilt from the front porch .  When he saw this quilt yesterday he looked at me and said :  It sure is red !   LOL

I also finished sewing my binding on Willow Weave .

Remember the Paisley quilting Mary from Quilt Hollow did for me on this quilt ?

Now I can finish making a few Christmas gifts this week.

update on Nantucket quilt

I am a woman on a mission the next fews days. To finish my Nantucket quilt flimsy. It has been on my design wall for too long .  We are expecting snow tonight so this is the perfect time to finish this quilt.

I did happen to walk into a Ben Franklin and see this PERFECT fabric for the backing of Nantucket.  My blocks are laying on the fabric in my picture above. It is a older Minick & Simpson Prairie Paisley  fabric !  You know how I am a sucker for Paisley fabrics ;-)   Just what I wanted so I can use this quilt for Christmas and in the Summer.

So.............. 40 blocks done 50 to go  !!!!!

Have a great weekend !
