A Day in Giverny is back from the quilter

My " A DAY IN GIVERNY QUILT " is home !

Eileen at RobinHillquilts blog  did a Amazing job quilting this for me !

I have it laid out on my quest room queen size  bed right now and machine stitched the binding to the front of my quilt .

Now it is time to start hand sewing my binding but it might have to wait till the weather gets a little cooler.

Eileen is now quilting my Country Charmer  you can see her progress here at  Robinhillquilts

I am really excited to see what she has planned for this quilt !

It is a busy time of year for us here in the foothills of California.    It is beginning to look like fall with the leaves & acorns falling everywhere.  Hubby has been busy cutting & stacking firewood.

Last Monday we had  1 1/2" of rain  with thunder and lightning .

I am ready for FALL

  1. How totally gorgeous, Sue! Just in time for those cooler summer nights! Now I can't wait to see what she does with your Country Charmer! I think your Monday storm hit us this evening - and to top it off we had 75 mph winds! Our yard and the neighborhood look like a demolition zone!
    Cheers!

  4. Very pretty quilt, I especially like the blocks with a touch of applique. It is getting cooler here in NJ at night, didn't need the air conditioning last night, and a few leaves have fallen already. Bring on the cider!

  5. So glad that Giverny is home!!! I've always loved seeing this quilt!! And Eileen did a wonderful job quilting it!! I've seen your Country Charmer there! It is going to be lovely, too!!

We're still pretty "summery" here in Texas, but occasionally we get a hint of fall in the air!

    Blessings
