A few days at the lake

Just got home from spending a few days at Pinecrest Lake! It was beautiful weather and we had the lake to ourselves !

As you can see the lake is very low . They start draining this lake after Labor day weekend
Since they drain the lake we just fished off the docks where the boats are usually docked . We could see fish everywhere and caught 5 in less then 1 hour.
We usually take our trailer but decided to rent a townhouse this time . Good thing we did ! We were so surprised to see that the campground was shutdown because of the government shutdown .
I did take my Country Charmer quilt with me and I was able to finish hand sewing the binding on 2 sides .  I will be sure to post a picture as soon as I finish it

SO nice to be home .  Now I need to clean my house before I can even think about any sewing

  1. Score on the houseboat, Sue! And the Mister caught some pretty nice fish, too! I bet it was wonderfully quiet with the campground closed!
    Cheers!
