Organizing fabric in my Sewing Room

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE !

I have been going thru my stash and organizing my sewing room this week and thought I would share with you what I have accomplished so far.

This is a picture of the right side of my closet .  Starting with the top shelf the fabric basket has my French General  fabric in it , the blue zipper bags in the center has all of my civil war fabric and the white wicker basket has FQ'S

Second shelf 1 yard or more of fabric has been folded  on comic books boards that I had seen on Nicole's blog.     More about that in a minute :-D

3rd and 4th shelf are quilt projects
These comic book boards are the BEST !  I bought them on Amazon .  They come in a bundle of 100 .  Now I can look at my fabric at a glance . No more stacked fabrics !  When ever I needed a piece of fabric from the stacks I had the whole pile would come tumbling down.  My shelves are deep so I kind of made a U shape lining up the fabric.  The fabric on the right that is stacked is fabric backings .

This cupboard is just over my sewing machine area and these are my precuts

I have more fabric to organize but it sure feels good to have most of it done :-D

  1. Things look so pretty and organized in your sewing room. I have too much fabric for things to look this good.
