It was a bumpy road in the beginning but I finally started my Nantucket quilt !
I ordered a Nantucket quilt kit a couple of weeks ago & when it arrived it was missing 1- 3/4 yard piece of background fabric . Also I did not like some of the fabrics in the kit so I had to order a few more fabrics . Once I had all of my fabric I started making my stars Sunday. These are big ... 15 1/2" and so easy to make . Did I tell you how much I love this Midwinter Reds fabrics !
Now onto making the 180 9 patches .
I can see why you like them so much! This is looking beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I'm making my stars now, but with scrappy backgrounds.
ReplyDeleteGreat start!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty! I was tempted, but don't have time to make this right now. I'm enjoying watching everyone else work on theirs!
ReplyDeleteThey're so striking and gorgeous, Sue!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
These red star quilts keep popping up in Blogland and I love them. But I am resisting the urge to order a kit.
ReplyDeleteYou are off to a great start. The lighter red star in the center is perfect.! Have fun with those little 9 patches... they go fast, really!
ReplyDeleteThose Midwinter Reds are so tempting! Love the size of those star blocks!
ReplyDeleteAnd a belated Happy Birthday to you! What a treat the hot air balloon ride must have been!!!
I love this fabric line and all the patterns M&S designed around it! Your stars are beautiful! Congratulations on a wonderful start to this project!
