Midwinter Reds Cozy quilt is a finish

Hi !

Hope everyone had a great weekend !

I finished my Midwinter Reds Cozy quilt .  Happy Dance !

The quilt measures 43" x 43".

I had some leftover French general solid red 2 1/2" strips that I used for the thin red border and I had just enough of the floral for the outside border :-D

So this quilt top was made with only fabric from my stash .

I went to my local Ben Franklin store and found this perfect backing  fabric on their flat fold table for only $5.99 a yard . It is a Anna Griffin " Fleur Rouge " fabric !  SCORE !

I also found a 1/2 yard of the  my border fabric on Ebay  that I will use for the binding.

Now I am all set ;-)

Happy Sewing

Sue

  12. I just love this. I am unbelievably drawn to red in quilts which is odd because I decorate in neutrals and warm colors. I think you did a great job with that pattern. I just love it, and just about anything you make! The backing is fab and at a great price too!
