Making progress on my Midwinter Red Quilt

Hi!

How is everyone enjoying there summer so far ?

We have been busy around the house tending to our gardens , cleaning windows & just taking care of things that need to be done around here :-D

We have  lots of tomatoes , zucchini , blueberries and plums we are enjoying right now.
Hubby is making lots of salsa with the tomatoes . Hmmm !

I did finish making my 16 blocks for my Midwinter Red Cozy quilt .

As I started laying my blocks out on my design wall my eye was immediately drawn to the block on the last row

Yes this one !  I just was not happy with it and I used all of my reds from this fabric line in my stash SO what is a girl to do ?  Look thru my stash of fabrics :-)

I made another block with this red fabric I found in my stash that  I had from my Wiscasset  quilt
I had made. It is also a Minick and Simpson fabric. Score !

Much better now :-D

The fabric I have pinned to my wall is also from my stash and I am hoping I have enough of it for the border

Smoky is having the life of leisure while I am playing with this quilt .

Hope you are enjoying your Summer Days !

Happy Sewing !

Midwinter Cozy Quilt

 Hi

I am in-between projects right now so I decided to make this quilt Midwinter Cozy Quilt that has been on my bucket list for some time.

I found this free pattern at Moda Bake shop  here

As you can see by the pattern they show many options to make this quilt. table runner. doll quilt or a 16 block quilt.  I am going to try to use all of my fabric I have of this line of fabric so only time will tell what I make ;-)

You may remember my Nantucket quilt I made December 2013  I had a bag of leftover fabrics from the quilt  and a layer cake

This is the leftover fabric I had and what a way to use it all !

I made the 4 stars this morning and now I am starting to layout my fabrics to cut

As you can tell I LOVE the color Red :-D   I also recovered these char cushion for the back deck

Happy Sewing !
