Happy Valentines Day !!! and a New Quilt project

Are you ready for Valentines Day ?

As you know I have this very large grapevine wreath on my front porch that I decorate for all of the holidays. I found this heart with berries wreath in a little shop in town when I went for my hair appointment .
It was love at first sight when I saw this heart and knew it would just be perfect hanging in my wreath.
I used a piece of Urban Cowgirl fabric to hang it

I think I might keep this out for Spring..................

I made this scrappy Churn dash quilt top with the new line of First Crush fabric by Sweetwater
It measures 21" x 21" . I do not think I will be able to quilt this before        Valentines Day but a least I can have it for next year ;-)

Speaking of Urban Cowgirl fabric.   I have been hoarding this fabric for quite a few years and just found the perfect quilt project that I feel really shows the fabric off well.
It is called Prairie Flowers and it is a free pattern at the Missouri Quilt Company sight here .

As you can see it will have a sashing and corner stones when I am done with it and I am still playing with the blocks before  I start sewing on my washings and cornerstones.

Wishing everyone a Very Happy Valentines Day !!!

Viola Farmhouse quilt is a finish !!

Happy February 1st everyone !!!!!

I just had to share my Viola Quilt !

When I first saw Farmhouse Fig Tree fabric and the Viola quilt pattern  it was love at first sight !
I finished piecing this quilt and had it quilted by Mary at  Quilt Hollow in November 2015 and I finally finished sewing my binding and quilt sleeve in the pretty Green and white polka fabric that comes in this line of fabric. As you can see by the picture below I chose the white with Cherries for my backing.

I decided that I just wanted to make the 4 blocks so that I would have a small wallhanging or table topper.  The quilt measures 39" x 39"

Mary always know the perfect icings for my quilts

I have started another quilt project that I have been anting to do for years and will share that with you soon

HAPPY SEWING !!

Sue
