A Day in Napa

Today is my hubby's b-day and we took a drive to Napa for the day !  Such a beautiful drive with everything in bloom !
 Just love this Wisteria !

We had lunch at the Rutherford grill , this is a picture of the outdoor patio. They have the best food in Napa !

Just had to make a stop at the Oakville Grocery , what a great store !

What a great way to spend his birthday !

I had a few of you ask about the spring flowers I posted yesterday.
The first picture is my Clematis , picture # 2 is one of my Columbines and picture # 3 I think is a Anemones .

HMMMMM!! Double Chocolat Speck

Nothing like making a little Speck quilt top out of Moda Double Chocolat to start spring !

I was gifted  the  Little Bites by Miss Rosie's Quilt Co. Speck pattern  with to  2 -   2 1/2"  charm packs of Moda's Double Chocolat  fabric for my birthday last November .   It felt so good to actually sit down and sew something and this little quilt was perfect.  I still need to find fabric for my sashing & border.

This last month we have been busy helping the kids with their new home that they moved into Easter weekend.  We have also been busy keeping up with the gardens and spring cleaning .  I thought I might share a few more pictures of what is blooming  right now

What a week ! New kitchen & Auburn Quilt Show

 It has been on busy week !  They started work on our Kitchen Thursday and finished yesterday.  What a mess but all worth it.  We had the counters replaced  with Quartz , tile back splash , new sink and a new slide in range. 

  Saturday I went to the Auburn quilt show  and took pictures to share with you

                                           I just fell in love with this quilt. SO cute with the wagon and Tricycle  !

   My friend who went with me to the show bought this Trout kit and the picture below is the booth she bought it from.  

  Now I should have some time to SEW !   I have not sewn a darn thing for almost 3 weeks :-(   Time to dust of the sewing machine :-D
