A very busy month...

Hi Everybody and Happy Fall !!!

I have not posted in quite awhile

My Dad became very ill and was put in intensive care for a week then transferred to  acute care facility for 2 weeks . He is now home and being  taken care of by in home care.

So to say the least no sewing has been going on here.

Before all of this happened I was starting to make my blocks for VIOLA using Farmhouse fabric.

This has been hanging on my design wall  for almost 1 month

This is what I have been using all these years .......

And now I have the SEAMS SEW EASY SEAM GUIDE  by Lori Holt
No morning tape coming undone . Can't wait to try it :-D
Maybe I can find some time this weekend to sew this block together and start another one.

My name was chosen by Sinta of   PINK PINCUSHION  .

She was having this wonderful give away  that if your name was chosen you could go over to the Fat Quarter Shop online and pick a  Fat Quarter bundle  of your choice.  I chose Nettie Peterson's Blogger's Choice ! Just fell in love the the blues & oranges in this bundle.

Thank You Sinta and Fat Quarter Shop for such a generous give away

HAPPY SEWING !!

Tiled Blooms Aloha Girl & things for my Sewing Room

Hi

It has been awhile since I have posted...
I am trying my best to try to catch up reading the blogs I follow

My Dad was in the hospital for 8 days and it has been a little crazy here .

I did finish the binding on my Tiled Booms Aloha girl quilt and am doing a happy dance right now that I can call it a finish !

Hubby did take me to Bed Bath & Beyond yesterday with my 20% off coupons in hand and I found this Iron caddy & board holder. I have been looking for one of these for a long time and I love it.. Now when I have company I can hang them both neatly behind the door :-D     I never close this door so it is OK that that the door will not close all the way when I have these hanging. It is made by Real Simple solutions and was only $14.99

Have you seen this Rowenta iron yet ?????

I saw it at Bed bath & beyond too and it was love at first sight !!  It is SO beautiful and looks like a piece of art.  I may have to put this on my Christmas list ;-)

HAPPY SEWING !!

Fall is in the air .........

It is starting to feel like Fall here :-D
It was 75 her the last few days and 54 in the morning ! I just love fall !

I just finished sewing my Urban  Cowgirl quilt together . I have been hoarding these 2 charm packs for quite a few years . The blocks are 4 1/4" and the top measures 23 3/4" square. I have not decided if I want to leave it like it is or add a border.

I have been sewing my binding on my  Tiled Blooms Aloha Girl in the evenings
What are the chances that I had this perfect thread color in my sewing room ;-)

I just love the quilting by my friend  Mary of Quilt Hollow did for me.

My Chinese lantern plants always let me know when Fall is here

and I have been putting out a few Fall decorations out on my bakers  rack on the deck
