Calendar Girls are coming home !

Eileen has just finished quilting my girls and they will be home next week.

As you can see she did a AMAZING job and I am just thrilled

Fall and California fires

Well it is official !

Monday is the first day of Fall !

Time to start decorating for Fall !

We had a scare last Saturday !
 I do not know if you saw on the news the " DOG BAR FIRE " ?
The fire was only a mile or so down the street from us an we had the closest  fire hydrant so trucks have been coming by regularly to feel up the tanker trucks.   Just to close for my comfort :-(
I am happy to say that the fire is now 75% contained .
There is also a horrible fire at Yosemite and at Pollock Pines !  Pollock Pines fire has burned over 8,900 acres so far !

We have been experiencing very thick and heavy smoke here for days .

My hats go off to these brave fireman and the awesome job they are doing in this busy fire season !

Hayride Quilt ready for Fall

HAYRIDE QUILT !

  I made this simple sweet little lap quilt last November when was gifted this quilt kit from Doreen She designed this sweet beginner quilt & I made it in 1 afternoon . Then  it sat in my basket of UFO"S waiting to be finished .

I decided it was time to get this done for Fall !

Just did a simple diagonal quilting . I did not use batting for this quilt and used a flannel fabric for the backing.

Took a few pictures  outside this morning to share.

I figured it was time to finish this quilt for Fall !

I made this quilt last year and just finished quilting it and I plan on getting this binding done today !
