My UFO Peppermint Pinwheel Quilt is done

While organizing my sewing room yesterday I found my Peppermint Pinwheel quilt sitting on the shelf just waiting to have the binding done.   Merumo  shared this pattern with me back last January.  I used Jo's Variety fabric.  This quilt measures 35" x 35" and is a table topper for Christmas.

Not only did I make the table topper I also made a small little quilt to put in my wagon I display in my home with my Santa & Snowmen dolls and I even made a mug rug.  I guess you could say I went Pinwheel crazy that month !

  3. Your quilt does remind me of peppermint candies (I actually don't care to eat that type candy). A nice use of red. I like the fabric used for the backing.

  4. Love the backing fabric too, I also like how the quilting makes the pinwheels seem to move as well.

  5. All your pinwheel craziness paid off in some really nice Christmas quilties. It must feel good to actually have a few Christmas projects finished in time for the holidays. I usually finish mine around New Year and boy is that disappointing to finish, but not be able to use them for a whole year. Also, the fabrics you used are great and do make the wheels look like they are swirling in the wind.

  6. Such beautiful Pinwheel quilts! What a darling little mug rug too. These will look so lovely displayed at Christmas - although I think they are pretty enough to leave out all year.
