I am hoping to finish my Hampton Ridge before the New year .
Just finished sewing all of the center of the quilt together now I need to add the 2 borders.
This quilt has been 1 year in the making and it feels SO good to have this part done :-D
Thursday we had a break in the weather and took the ferry over to San Francisco.
Nothing better then to get you in the Christmas mood !
This the Union Square . I know it is hard to see but the ice skating rink is behind those palm trees
They lined the street with astro turf between the 2 Macy stores .
and of course we had to check out the windows at Macy's where they have the cats & dogs up for adoption . They were SO cute !
We headed down to the Embarcadero where we had dinner .
These following pictures are from the lobby of the Hyatt Regency .
Always So gorgeous this time of year
This will probably be my last post till after Christmas .
Wishing all of you a Very Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year !
Happy Sewing !
Sue

I know you are anxious to finish the quilt top. It won't be long now.
ReplyDeleteI have never ice-skated in my whole life. And I grew up in the north. We have an indoor ice-skating rink not far from our house where we live now. There is also usually some place around that has an artificial outdoor ice-skating area at Christmas time and man made snow for the kids. I remember one year when a family in Orlando won a prize to have their whole front yard covered with man made snow.
Your quilt is beautiful Sue!! Nice to have a little break before the festivities of Christmas.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful holiday season!!
"See" you in 2015!!
Nancy
Your Hampton Ridge is absolutely gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteDH and I honeymooned in San Francisco and I hope that we can return one of these days. Thanks for sharing a glimpse of Christmas in SF.
Oh, and Merry Christmas ... see you next year!
DeleteThank you for the pictures of the City! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too.
ReplyDeleteWow - it doesn't seem like it's been a year since you began your stunning Hampton Ridge, Sue! How nice that you were able to escape into the City for a bit - great photos! Have a wonderful holiday and I'll see you next year :>)
