Christmas in San Francisco and Hampton Ridge Quilt is coming along

Just a few days till Christmas ... Are you ready ?

I am hoping to finish my Hampton Ridge  before the New year .
Just finished sewing all of the center of the quilt together now I need to add the 2 borders.
This quilt has been 1 year in the making and it feels SO good to have this part done :-D

Thursday we had a break in the weather and took the ferry over to San Francisco.
Nothing better then to get you in the Christmas mood !

This the Union Square . I know it is hard to see but the ice skating rink is behind those palm trees

They lined the street with astro turf between the 2 Macy stores .

and of course we had to check out the windows at Macy's where they have the cats & dogs up for adoption . They were SO cute !

We headed down to the Embarcadero where we had dinner .

These following pictures are from the lobby of the Hyatt Regency .
Always So gorgeous this time of year

This will probably be my last post till after Christmas .

Wishing all of you a Very Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year !

Happy Sewing !

Sue

  1. I know you are anxious to finish the quilt top. It won't be long now.

I have never ice-skated in my whole life. And I grew up in the north. We have an indoor ice-skating rink not far from our house where we live now. There is also usually some place around that has an artificial outdoor ice-skating area at Christmas time and man made snow for the kids. I remember one year when a family in Orlando won a prize to have their whole front yard covered with man made snow.
