A weekend of working on A Day in Giverny & Swoon

                                   HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!!

I had a fun weekend of sewing ! I worked on all 6 of my alternating blocks
And..................... Cut all the rest of my fabric I need for the sashings , borders and triangle blocks
I just need to cut my 5 .5 " strips for my border which is the red floral fabric on the left. The fabric on the right is my backing fabric
The alternating blocking have these little applique teardrops , 8 on each block making a total of  48 teardrops in  the fabric you see on the right.  I plan on invisible machine appliqueing those
I also finished sewing on my binding on my SWOON  and plan on sewing that at night.  Just perfect time of year to sew on binding on COLD nights !
WISHING EVERYONE A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!!

  8. I'm afraid I may have to shamelessly copy your Swoon color scheme. I don't know if I will be able to find that much Rouenneries fabric still, but French General has very similar colors in their later collections too. It is so, so beautiful! Very jealous!
