Summer Breeze is a finish

Just finished my Summer Breeze and I love it !   It was as Easy as 1 , 2 , 2 just like Doreen  ( Aunt Reen's Blog ) said it was.  You see I made this quilt  when I joined Doreen's   " EASY AS 1 , 2, 3 LAYER CAKE MYSTERY FREE PATTERN SEW ALONG for the month of May .  What a fun quilt to make :-D
Now I am ready to start Doreen's next Sew Along  for the month of June ! A free pattern   Jelly Roll sew along making her  " Willow Weave Quilt "  that  is a updated basket Weave . You only need 1 jelly roll , 1 3/4 yds background fabric and  1/2 yard binding fabric .
Mary at   Quilt hollow has a wonderful offer right now.  $45.00 to quilt your Gentle Art Quilt for the month of June.  That price includes the batting and thread too ! WOW !  I wanted to show you a picture of one of the 2 Spools quilts Mary quilted for me last year I have hanging in the sewing room .  She quilted it in the Spools & threads  design the same design she is offering to quilt on  your  Gentle Art quilt
Before I go I wanted to show you my Mother's Day gift from my hubby . Hubby asked me what I would like so ..... I told him about this stool that folds flat that  I saw at Ikea .  It was out of stock online before Mother's Day but when I checked last week that had it available to order YEAHHH!   We live over 1 hour away from our Ikea so it was just perfect to have it shipped here .  I love it !  It will be great to use when I am cutting and preparing my applique

  1. Hi your quilt finish!! So pretty...nice to see you changed the pattern a bit. You must be ready to get started on quilt #2. It will be fun to see the differences in our quilts..

Your chair looks great! Having a great chair can make such a difference in how long we stay in one place creating...

    Have a great week!
    Hugs, Nancy

  2. Congratulations on finishing up your Mystery quilt! It's beautiful! What a great folding stool! That was very thoughtful of hubby to purchase it for a Mother's day gift!

  3. I had fun following Doreen and her May Mystery Quilt... even though I made changes to mine right from the beginning! Love the fabrics you used for yours! Your new Mother's Day present looks like a keeper!
