Making progress on Tree Bells

I can not believe how fast this quilt is going so far

Yesterday I made great progress and finished fusing all of my appliqué pieces on the blocks. and laid out all of the background pieces .  I even have the bow all fused & cut out ready to go.
I LOVE IT  :-D

I am hoping this weekend to find the time to invisible machine appliqué the blocks and sew this quilt together

 Life gets busy and time just flies  by this time of year but I did finally finish my Aloha Girl Tiled blooms quilt top.

I machine appliqued  52 petals

                                         I just loved every fabric in this line by Fig Tree

 This is the fabric I chose for my backing , just LOVE the sea glass color background . Now to find the perfect quilting design for the quilt ;-)

Saturday we drive to my parents for them to meet their new great grandson .

4th of July Grandson

Our Grandson Nico Antonio arrived at 12:17 on the 4th of July !!!!

He weighed 8# 4oz  & 21" long

My daughter had to have a C section. Mom & baby are doing fine .
They get to bring him come home today

This is our first grandchild and now I know what  everyone means about grandchildren.
When I held him for the first time I could not stop staring at this little miracle  and did not want to let him go.

Nico will grow up thinking all of the fireworks are in honor of him & his birthday  !!!!!
